Today we finished up the script and storyboard! We are moving along pretty fast for the planning stage so I hope we can begin to film soon after our screen test next Friday. I am really happy with how the plot turned out for our opening and I think it is a major improvement from our last project. Last time, even though I really liked the story we came up with, we tried to fit too much in too short of a time. This time around I think we found a happy medium where we give enough story to get the audience hooked and leave the end with a good segment where if the film were to carry on but not too much jammed into the 2-minute time that it is overwhelming. My only worry is we are not using enough unique camera shots and angles. In our last project, our main technique was the cross-cuts but this time around we do not have a major camera technique we are using. Hopefully, once we start filming we will get more ideas on how to implement some of the techniques we learned throughout the year. Here is the script if you want to take a look at it Script Link. We are using it as almost more of a guide instead of reading it word for word so our dialogue will sound more natural and not robotic. I also attached the photos of our storyboard we will be using as a guide as well. I would also like to apologize for my horrible drawing skills and stick figures but it is the thought that counts right?
